Since 2008 I have enjoyed visiting the beautiful country of Laos in South East Asia. After visiting with a medical team I decided that as an educator I could support schools and children in Laos. It was one of those moments where you can look at the communities and do something or walk away.
In 2009 I formed Global Hand Charity (called A Helping Hand before it became incorporated) and with an amazing band of volunteers we have been able to change lives in Laos communities. In 2016 I have been awarded an Endeavour Fellowship and will be in Laos working with Loatian teachers collected and archiving Laos teaching artefacts through a web platform.. |
